QSZ and QSH High-Flow Submersible Axial and Mixed Flow Pumps
QSZ and QSH series pumps are high-flow submersible pumps designed for drainage, irrigation, water circulation and large-volume water transfer. With a power range of 7.5 - 55 kW and a flow capacity of 260 - 2,880 m³/h, these pumps are suitable for projects that require continuous water delivery at a relatively low or medium head.
The pump and motor form an integrated submersible unit. During operation, the complete pump is installed below the water level, eliminating the need for a long transmission shaft and a separate above-water motor. This compact structure simplifies installation and makes the QSZ and QSH series practical for pumping stations with limited space.
QSZ Submersible Axial Flow Pump
The QSZ submersible axial flow pump moves water mainly along the direction of the pump shaft. It is designed for applications requiring a very large flow rate at a relatively low head.
Typical applications include agricultural irrigation, floodwater drainage, aquaculture water circulation, municipal stormwater discharge and water transfer between reservoirs or channels.
QSH Submersible Mixed Flow Pump
The QSH submersible mixed flow pump combines axial and radial water movement. Compared with a typical axial flow pump, it is suitable for operating conditions that require high flow together with a moderately higher head.
The QSH series can be used for industrial cooling water circulation, municipal drainage, irrigation pumping stations, water conservancy projects and other large-volume water transfer systems.
Main Performance Range
Parameter Specification
Product series QSZ and QSH
Pump type Submersible axial flow pump and submersible mixed flow pump
Rated power 7.5-55 kW
Flow capacity 260-2,880 m³/h
Installation Fully submerged operation
Operating mode Continuous or intermittent operation, subject to model and site conditions
Available configuration Selected according to flow, head, voltage, frequency and installation requirements
The exact operating head, outlet diameter, cable length and installation dimensions depend on the selected model. A complete hydraulic selection should therefore be based on the actual duty point rather than motor power or pipe diameter alone.
Product Features
  • High-Flow Water Delivery: The hydraulic structure is designed for large-volume water transfer. It allows the pump to move substantial quantities of water without requiring a conventional dry-installed pump room.
  • Integrated Submersible Design: The motor and pump are assembled as one unit and operate underwater. This arrangement reduces the space required above the pumping station and avoids the alignment work associated with long-shaft pumping systems.
  • Flexible Installation: QSZ and QSH pumps can be configured for different installation structures according to the project. Their compact vertical design makes them suitable for new pumping stations as well as the renovation of existing drainage and irrigation facilities.
  • Stable Operation: The impeller and flow passage are designed according to the required hydraulic conditions. Correct pump selection helps reduce unnecessary vibration, hydraulic loss and energy consumption during operation.
  • Convenient Maintenance: The integrated unit can be lifted from the installation position for inspection and servicing. This helps simplify maintenance in municipal, agricultural and industrial pumping projects.
Typical Applications
  • Agricultural irrigation and farmland drainage
  • Municipal flood control and stormwater discharge
  • River, canal and reservoir water transfer
  • Aquaculture and fishpond water circulation
  • Industrial cooling water systems
  • Water conservancy and pumping station projects
  • Low-lying area dewatering
  • Landscape and environmental water circulation
  • Emergency drainage after heavy rainfall
How to Select a QSZ or QSH Pump
Pump selection should begin with the required flow rate and total dynamic head. The head calculation should include the vertical water-level difference, pipeline friction loss and local resistance caused by valves, elbows and fittings.
The available power supply must also be confirmed, including voltage, frequency and phase. Other important information includes water quality, operating hours, installation structure, minimum water level, outlet diameter and cable length.
For low-head, very-high-flow duties, a QSZ axial flow pump is generally considered first. When the project requires high flow with a moderately higher head, a QSH mixed flow pump may provide a more suitable hydraulic solution. Final selection should always be verified against the model performance curve.
Ordering Information
To receive an accurate pump selection and quotation, please provide:
  • Required flow rate in m³/h
  • Required total head in metres
  • Application and pumped liquid
  • Voltage, frequency and phase
  • Installation depth
  • Outlet pipe diameter
  • Required cable length
  • Continuous or intermittent operating requirements
Based on these conditions, we can recommend a suitable QSZ or QSH pump model and provide technical data, dimensions and installation guidance.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between QSZ and QSH pumps?
QSZ is an axial flow pump mainly intended for very-high-flow and low-head applications. QSH is a mixed flow pump suitable for high-flow duties requiring a moderately higher head.
What is the flow range of these pumps?
The available flow range is approximately 260 - 2,880 m³/h, depending on the model, head and operating conditions.
What motor powers are available?
The stated power range is 7.5 - 55 kW. The correct motor power must be selected according to the required duty point.
Must the pump operate completely underwater?
Yes. QSZ and QSH are submersible pumps and should operate with the pump unit submerged to the level specified in the installation instructions.
Can the pump be customized for different power supplies?
Voltage, frequency, cable length and control requirements can be configured according to the project. These requirements should be confirmed before production.
